Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 46th KSCCM Annual Congress and Acute Critical Care Conference 2026, which will be held from April 30th to May 1st, 2026, at BEXCO in Busan.
This year marks a historic milestone as we host our first annual congress in the beautiful coastal city of Busan. We are excited to expand our horizons beyond Seoul and bring our academic excellence to this vibrant port city. BEXCO offers an exceptional venue with expanded facilities and enhanced capacity, allowing us to deliver a more comprehensive and enriching program than ever before.
Our 2026 program has been thoughtfully designed to address the evolving needs of our medical community, with particular focus on supporting the new generation of residents who began their training in September 2024, as well as all healthcare professionals dedicated to intensive care.
We are delighted to announce a special joint symposium with the Taiwan Society of Critical Care Medicine, further strengthening our international partnerships and fostering cross-cultural exchange of knowledge and expertise. Beyond this collaboration, we are actively expanding our global network through research partnerships and academic exchanges with Asian countries, World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care, Society of Critical Care Medicine and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, as well as continuing our longstanding collaboration with Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine. These international alliances represent our unwavering commitment to building bridges across continents and advancing critical care standards worldwide through shared knowledge, collaborative research, and mutual learning.
Our comprehensive educational program will feature distinguished speakers, cutting-edge research presentations, and interactive sessions tailored to enhance clinical skills and broaden perspectives. The expanded venue in Busan will accommodate a wider range of concurrent sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, ensuring every participant gains maximum value from their attendance.
Busan's excellent transportation infrastructure, including direct connections to major airports and high-speed rail networks, ensures convenient access for both domestic and international participants. The city's rich cultural heritage and stunning coastal scenery provide an inspiring backdrop for academic excellence and professional networking.
I encourage all critical care professionals to join us in Busan for this landmark event. Your participation and contributions will be essential to the continued growth and success of our society.
I look forward to welcoming you to this extraordinary gathering in Busan.
Warm regards,

Jae Hwa Cho, MD, PhD
President of The Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine
