Call for Abstract


Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine (KSCCM) will hold the 44th KSCCM Annual Congress · Acute and Critical Care Conference on April 24~26, 2024, as a form of an In-person congress. Authors are encouraged to submit an abstract for presentation at the congress.

Steps for Abstract Submission

  • Step 1

    Read all instructions and submitter's information carefully.

  • Step 2

    Create an abstract (Topic, Title, Abstract body).

  • Step 3

    Select the number of all author and fill in all authors' information.

  • Step 4

    Review and submit your abstract.

Rules for Submission

Please read the submission rules before submitting an abstract.

  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the website only.
    Abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted.
  • Presentation Format: Abstracts may be submitted for oral or e-poster presentation. The Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted for presentation, with consideration given to the author’s preference.

Limitations

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have completed registration will be scheduled for presentation and included for publication.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the of meeting publications.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
  • Do NOT submit abstracts if previously presented at an international meeting or if previously published. 

Guidelines for Submission

1. Abstract

  • Abstract title – The title should not exceed 100 characters.
  • Abstract text – The abstract should not exceed 2,000 characters including spaces with 1 attachment (Graphs and images-Figures and/or table files).
  • Abstract type – Original research or Case reports
  • Structure of each abstract type
    - Original research: background, methods, results and conclusion, with each beginning a new paragraph.
    - Case report: introduction, case presentation and conclusion. 
  • Graphs and images-Figures and/or table files can be attached in *.jpg , *.jpeg, *.gif or *.png format. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 500x500 pixel.

2. Modifications and changes

  • When you submit your abstract online, your abstract will be automatically edited according to the KSCCM·ACCC 2024 submission formats.
  • It is the authors' responsibility to review the submissions and correct them. Submitters are responsible for all typing error on the abstract.
  • After submitting your abstract, you can check the status at the “Online Submission” or “My Page”.
  • The submitted abstracts can be modified until the submission deadline.
  • The presentation format (oral or e-poster) of submitted abstract may be modified by the reviewers of KSCCM. Checking the review results is therefore necessary to prepare a presentation.
  • The presenting author cannot be changed after the acceptance notice is noticed.

3. Abstract ID Number & acknowledgement of abstract submission

  • You will receive an abstract ID number via email after you have submitted your abstract. Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.
  • An acknowledgement of the receipt of abstract will be automatically sent to the submitter and the presenting author by E-mail upon the completion of the on-line submission. Please contact the KSCCM·ACCC 2024 secretariat if you have not received confirmation that your abstract has been submitted.

4. Abstract Notifications

  • Notifications will be sent to submitting authors via E-mail by March 22, 2024. If the presenting author does not register by the deadline of Abstract Submission, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.

5. Withdrawal of Abstracts

  • If you would like to withdraw an abstract, please request to have it withdrawn by sending an E-mail to KSCCM·ACCC 2024 secretariat as soon as possible.
  • If on-line submission is not available, please contact the KSCCM·ACCC 2024 secretariat.

Abstract Submitter’s Declaration

During abstract submission you will be asked to declare the following:

  • I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published as submitted.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes the consent of all authors to publication (e.g. Conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.)
  • The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her (Hereafter: the "Content") to KSCCM·ACCC 2024 (Hereafter: the "Organizers"), nor the publication of any such Content by the Organizers, on the internet or otherwise infringes any third party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
  • The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a copyright license and right to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the text of the Content on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive basis.
  • I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
  • I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant. 
  • The Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  • I understand that I must select a specific Theme, Topic and Sub-Topic for my abstract allocation.  Although the committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed.  The Committee reserves the right to change the Theme, Topic or Sub-Topic under which the abstract was originally submitted.

Conflict of Interest & Ethical Approval

  • You will be asked to declare that you have received ethical approval for your study (if relevant), and you will be requested to confirm that you will declare any conflict of interests in your presentation at the conference.

Abstract Selection and Presentation

  • The Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Notification regarding abstract acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the submitting author.
